I began like any other Friday, until it didn't...
I woke up to a garage... read more door that weighed a ton...either I'd lost all my strength overnight or something was wrong with the door...or both. While checking the house for kryptonite, I noticed some of the ancillary garage door parts looked out of place and raced off to YouTube to see what the internet thought of my problem.
"Is it plugged in?" Check.
"Is the circuit breaker working?" Check. I cringed realizing someone needed these two solutions but drove on.
On and on the search went until I heard the magic words, "Does the door weigh a ton?" VIOLA!
"See if there's something in the way." Nope.
"Look above the door at the spring." BOOM! The spring was clearly in more pieces than I remember.
"You can't fix this yourself." Crud. It's 7am, what am I gonna do??
"Call CJs Garage Door Repairs" (Not really what the guy said, but it sounded sexier than what I really did which was to get on yelp and search for the highest rated garage door repair in my area, which is CJ's Garage Door Repairs).
"No way they're open," I thought to myself, "and no way they can come out at an exact time that fits into my insane schedule." Wrong on both counts.
They answered on the second ring, took my info in a jiff, and agreed to an exact time (not one of those "between the 3rd and 4th phases of the moons cycle" agreements).
"This is gonna take forever and cost a fortune," I thought.
Wrong again. The tech arrived exactly on time, was super quick, had an insanely reasonable price, AND gave me a discount for paying cash.
